My mother always said, “be careful what you pray for, because you just might get it.” The longer I live, the more I see this to be true. I always loved the story in the Bible about Ruth and Naomi.

Naomi was Ruth’s mother in law. But sadly Ruth’s husband died. Naomi told Ruth to go home and back to her people. She refused and vowed her devotion to Naomi, following her and living among her people. (I won’t tell you the whole story, feel free to read it for yourself!)

When the kids were little, I prayed certain prayers. One specific one was that my daughter-in-love and I would have a close relationship, like Ruth and Naomi. God did answer that prayer!

I am thankful for Kimmy! It warms my heart to see her love for Jesus! She has grown so much and continues everyday! I am blessed by her love for Ryan and the sweet mommy she is to Alyssa! She has a passion for photography and an eye for beauty that she manages to capture with her lens.

I could literally go on for pages of the wonderful attributes and just how much I love this girl! But for today, just know that we are celebrating her! So if you’re passing through this way, be sure to celebrate with us!
