I missed posting this for her birthday and now it is October. Sadly, I didn’t make many posts in the month of September. This is something I intend to get better at, but for now, it is what it is.
I couldn’t let another day pass without a shout out! My Baby Girl, Savannah, turned 22 this year on September 18 and let’s be honest, there is alway a reason to celebrate!
Oh how time has flown! It seems like just yesterday, yet a lifetime ago, that my world was filled with this rambunctious ball of energy! While all of my children (even the one’s I didn’t birth) have many traits like me, Savannah has the most.
I am extremely proud of the young woman she continues to grow into! This girl loves Jesus passionately and there is nothing greater for this momma! Like a strong tree, deep rooted, she did not bend through forceful opposition.. She completed Ministry School, even through adversity.
Being the natural born leader, she maintains being the clay for the Potter to mold. While raising this confident (aka: strong-willed) child, answers were found in the Bible – if I trained her in God’s way, she would never depart. (Proverbs 22:6)
Have you seen the t-shirt with the quote, “We have a beautiful daughter, a gun, a shovel, and an alibi”?
Several of us had the opportunity to go have pizza with her. Even though her birthday has passed – remember I said, “everyday is a good day to celebrate!” so be sure to give her a high five!
We love you, Savannah!
