If you read my previous post, you are aware of our annual family vacation. It started out with Brad and I, along with Brittany and David attending the ONE Marriage Conference at Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia. We were living in Missouri at the time and our pastor asked what I thought about our church attending as a group. I was definitely up for that!
Here we are 10 years later and what began as somewhat of a research trip, has now become our family tradition. We believe in investing in the lives of our children, even though they are most all grown. The information is always valuable with consistent “on-time” Word. I love how the Word of God speaks so relevant individually.
The conference is scheduled the third weekend in February, every year. Some may say is an odd time to have a vacation and maybe it is, but it works for us. It started out with a long weekend, but we have continuously added days, over the years, to our time-off to make it a week.
The event starts with session #1 on Friday at 7pm and lasts until about 8:30pm. Then the “After Party, complete with food trucks, music, dancing, and cupcakes! Disclaimer: completely non-keto friendly. (*insert shoulder shrug).
It continues on Sat for two more sessions – #2 at 10am, #3 at 1pm, with lunch in between. It is our custom to attend the Sunday church service at 11am, because 9am is just early. The truth, we stay up way too late enjoying each others company.
We really enjoy all sitting together, so it is a task to get that many seats together. I highly recommend taking time to connect together, as a couple and as a family.
Wohh precisely what I was searching for, thanks for putting up.
