Let’s talk about MOTIVATION. What motivates you? Or what is the lack thereof? What is motivation?
The world wide web is full of all kinds of information. Dictionary.com says that motivation is the state of condition of being motivated or having a strong reason to act or accomplish something. There are many things I want to do with my life. Yes I may be in my 40s, but my life is no where near, even close to being over!
I hear people say all the time, “when I retire, I’m going to……….” I am not going to wait until I am much older to move closer to the dreams or goals that I have.
People also talk about becoming debt free, but so many won’t stop spending to be able to get out of debt. What would the motivation be here? I am thinking, working less, taking more vacations, I can think of a million reasons!
What about losing weight? My motivation for that was simply being healthier. So I ventured into keto. I was amazed at the way it made me feel. A few days ago, I had not been faithful to my keto way of eating and found myself, just nauseous. I had been eating alot of carbs and things with sugar.
If there is one thing that I absolutely hate, it is feeling sick to my stomach. So much so, that I took some Tylenol on an empty stomach for one of the worst headaches that I have ever had. It didn’t stay down and I decided it was better to suffer the headache.
Then I remembered…… I don’t have to put up with being sick! It is my right as a child of God! I went back to bed and listened to a youtube video of healing scriptures. The Bible says that “faith comes by hearing the Word of God..” (Romans 10:17). My motivation? Not feeling sick anymore.
My motivation for making a schedule is the fact that I want to be more organized. I don’t like clutter. It feels chaotic to me and actually makes me feel stressed.
What do you need to accomplish? What are your dreams and goals? What things do you aspire to do? Look inside yourself and find the motivation you need to get where you want to go and never back down!
